Maria Batista is a glass artist from Coquitlam, BC. Her journey as a glass artist begun in 2014 at Terminal City Glass Co-op, the studio she still works out of.
Maria has been fascinated with glass from an early age. She loves the combination of art, creativity, science, and strength that glassblowing encompasses. Working with glass is complex and very versatile and she feels very lucky to have found this medium.
Maria's work is all handmade and one of a kind, Each piece starts off as molten glass which she shapes, blows, and adds colour to. Her work is inspired by bright colours, movement, playfulness, and nature.
