Pemberton Bag
Pemberton Bag Company was established in 2019, when Nina wanted a bag she could use outdoor, in all weather, yet stylish for everyday use. Not wanting to use synthetic fabrics, she discovered oilcloth. The original wet weather fabric, used by Scottish fishermen and sailors for the durability and to keep them dry on the water. Today my fabric is made in one of the oldest continuing operating mills in Scotland, from GOTs certified organic cotton. What started as one bag for herself, has grown into a slow fashion, handmade bag company in Nina’s home, in Pemberton BC, on the unneeded territory of the Lil'Wat First Nations. I make timeless pieces. That will age gracefully with you. Sewing is a craft that that should never age.
